HOTSS/Impala SS Forum SSpring Picnic

The members of HOTSS, SAIL, and the Impala SS Forum, got together to enjoy the great weather and socializing with friends. Arnold & Sherlene Reed were again kind enough to let everyone enjoy their home and property. A great time was had by all. In all 17 of some of the finest cars in Texas were in attendance.

Special thanks also to Jay Klafka for the warm, buttery toasst from his 1993 Caprice SS.

HOTSS Millennium CruiSSe

HOTSS hosted the 4th Annual Cruise-In for Impala SS / B-Body fanatics.

The People's Choice Show was held at Emerald Point Marina on Lake Travis. After all the voting was completed, awards and door prizes were given out at Carlos'N Charlie's (after a break for good food & drinks!).

The day was capped-off by all the Impala SS and B-Body cars dominating the scene at the Saturday night car show at the Round Rock Antique Mall.

Indian Summer BBQ

HOTSS members took advantage of unseasonably warm weather to have a BBQ at Arnold & Sherlene Reed's new house.

There was lots of great food and plenty of space for the kids & adults to play.

The day's activities included: car modding, R/C cars & planes, golf cart rides, basketball, hot-tubbing, mini-bike riding (w/ assorted stunts), and plenty of socializing.

SAIL Meeting

Gary Grant, Mike Flake & Scott Williams of HOTSS cruised to San Antonio for the monthly SAIL (San Antonio Impala Lovers) meeting at Rooty's.

After some great food at Rooty's, HOTSS and SAIL members made final plans for the caravan to ImpalaFest '99.

HOSS Invades

Members of HOSS (Home of the Super Sport - Dallas) came to Austin for the Texas Heat Wave '99, held at the Travis County Exposition Center on July 24, 1999.

HOTSS Members joined the HOSS group after the Round Rock Car Show at the Antique Mall.

The group ended up at Johnny Carrino's in Round Rock for a family-night out with good Italian food & socializing.

Summer 1998
BBQ Road Trip

Members of HOTSS cruised about 75 miles west, through the scenic Hill Country, to Cooper's Barbeque in Llano, Texas.

The cruiSSe included some twisty, back roads that were much more fun after the leader of the caravan, who was bored with the pace, honked at some goats and inadvertently cleared the slow traffic ahead!

After everyone ate way too much at Cooper's, the group headed to Lake Buchanan to take in some more scenery before the return trip to Austin.
