Transgo Servo Upgrade
(and how to identify Corvette Servo)

Starting point
Use prybar to press cover in and remove the retaining ring.
Removing retaining ring.
Pull cover out to expose O-ring.
Pull on O-ring to remove cover.
Removing cover.
4th piston removal.
Remove e-clip, spring, and washer.
2nd piston removal.
1st half of 2nd piston.
2nd half of 2nd piston.
Removed parts.
Transgo instructions showing how to identify servo number.
"093" designates Corvette servo. This one was factory.
2nd piston disassembly, removing snap ring.
2nd piston opened up.

2nd piston springs:

Left: Stock reused.

Middle: Transgo spring.

Right: Stock, not used.

 

Install new o-rings and lube with vaseline.

Reassemble in reverse order.

Be sure to follow Transgo instructions on shimming the servo. We used 1.
