Pick up a set of hog ring pliers and some hog rings. These are what many upolstery shops use to fasten the seat material to the frame.

I like that look with the console.Well done! Buckets/console should have been a factory option our 91-96 B-Bodies,like on the 1966-69 Caprices!

Did your Caprice have the stock aluminum wheels originally? Jim

thank you! the hardest part about the console was ripping off the old carpet. I just manhandled it off but damn did my fingers hurt. than it was just a quick paint/clear coat then assemble.

I absolutely love this more than the 60/40 bench

my car came with plain black rims with hubcaps. I think when the tires on my 24s go I'm going to get impala rims then ride those forever

I like what you did with the interior, I have the 60/40 also but I have tan leather. I've been wanting to do the buckets, gonna jump on it tomorrow. Having a tough time finding the right shade of tan for my interior trim, stuff from advance is to light.

thank you thank you

I got my paint (and low luster clear coat) from vinyl pro and I asked people on here what paint to get to match my interior.

removing the arm rest, cutting the foam and chopping the metal off is cake. I didn't use any power tools, just giant bolt cutters (prolly like 2 feet tall)

Did you use the low luster clear on your steering wheel too? I am getting ready do a wheel swap on mine. My original leather wheel that came on the 93 is ozzing out all of its support material and is also the thin style wheel. I got a leather wheel out of a 96 ss and have recoated with SEM Very Dark Saphire. It is the thicker style wheel too. It does look and feel great but I wondered about the clear, vinyl pro said I did not nead it. Your thoughts? You also said that the fit between your new seat and console is tight. If you were to have used a passenger bucket instead of cutting the drivers, would you have had enough room between them for the recline handle? Just wondering as I have another bucket recoated with SEM and ready to go. Thanks

yes I used clear on everything I've done and I like this one because it doesn't give the high gloss shiny look. I think if you used two passenger seats you would have to move the recline lever to the opposite side because it won't fit with the console there. it's not an extremely tight fit but youre not going to fit a hand down there of you drop something
