Fuel pressure regulator?
OK here's my dilema, fuel pump crapped out and installed a new one. Had good fuel pressure with new pump 43psi for about 2 minutes. Took the car off jacks and went to start back up agian. No start, checked fuel pressure, read about 10 psi. Pump is getting power, its running. Installed new relay, the FSM has nothing about troubleshooting, now I'm lost and frustrated.
The fuel pressure regulator is located on the return side of the fuel lines, would this low reading indicate a bad regulator? It makes sense to suspect this but i'm not 100% sure before I throw more money at it.
I could not get a definate look inside the elbow for fuel because in the proces of connecting and disconnecting the fuel pressure gauge I've made a mess. ANy input would be greatly appreciated.
