How do I know If my Cadillac converter is going out

How do I know if it's going out my car sound like a have a can with rocks in it shaking Please help!

do you mean... TORQUE CONVERTER?

(95 caprice classic tow package! 3.73, 1.6RR, beehive springs, HOTCAM, airbox delete, K&N air filter, removed mechanical fan and install electrical fan, tuned

tap on it with something metal that will tell you if its hollow on the inside and which has been damaged or both

Well I had to change both of them and 4 o2 sensors talk about a costly weekend!

Another thing could be one of the heatshields are loose and will need the screws for it tightened or replace. They are right above the catalytic converters, easy to check and if thats the issue then will fix up the problem with a simple wrench. - Peter
