need help brothers. im planning to install a 3.73 gears on my ride. I live in southern CA(cerritos) and need help finding a used abs reluctor. also need advise on which parts you recommend i purchase. My car is a family weekend driver with 98,000 miles. well maintained and not heavy on the foot. I also need a reputable installer in my area. i currently have your basic bolt ons, which include k/ n cold air intake, pcmtuned by pcmforless, 160 stat, foil spacer in my throttle body, cooler bypass. im planning to GEAR UP MY REAR END first, then a complete header exhaust system and then rockers/springs. This is all i want to do to my ride. need help brothers. thank you

High Performance Exhaust Systems - Chevy Impala SS Drive Train

Part #G002 ------- 3.73 Gears ------ $250.77
Part #G004.5 ---- 3.73 Reluctor --- $35.82
Part #G6005 ------ Install Kit ------- $60.00
Part #D6001 ------ Additive --------- $20.00

Whoever does the work for you, EXPRESSLY inform them that they MUST install the reluctor that you provided, and not reuse the old one.

Caddy

check with local 4x4 driveline shops in your area for install. $150-$200 is typical charge

You may find that you need new axles also...won't know until they pull the old ones. A common issue is outer bearing wear on the axles

If you don't have a limited slip diff in now, good time to do it with a gear swap

pcm will need a re-tune for the new gear ratio

You may find you have drive shaft vibrations with the lower gears. Some had decent results with getting a stock DS re-balanced but majority who had issues got a wider, balanced aluminum DS. Dennys is considered one of the better drive shafts.

for a street and 1/4 mi car I like the Eaton "Limited Slip" posi

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/etn-19559-010/overview/

You should get a "master install kit" for the Eaton That has all the bearings you need for the geat/posi swap

Eaton diff does require specif size bearing but you can get the complete kit for them

All Eaton differentials made for General Motors 8.5" and 8.6" axles require special bearings. For axles with small bearing
bores (race O.D. or 2.89"), usually found on vehicles prior to 1999, bearing LM102949 and race LM102911 are required.
