Of course "silhouette-man" conveniently leaves out the fact that gasoline is over $10/gal. as well as the top tax rate being 75%,and a whole host of reasons why comparisons to extremely small populations/economies are invalid.
I think you underestimate people to be honest... it isn't that people are too scared or chicken sh*t to do anything... because there are plenty of those people who are ex-military who are certainly anything but......
Buford......being former military doesn't preclude a person from being too chicken-shiite to partake in a Revolution.
It's one thing to go to war to fight for your country on foreign soil; it's an altogether different thing to voluntarily wage war in your own backyard.
Win or lose, with modern warfare being what it is, you devestate your homeland for decades......the infastructure, the economy, the environment, etc. That being the case, most people with an IG above that of a troglodyte will opt to maintain their (and their family's) standard of living rather than throwing this country into a state resembling Gaza or Syria.
Won't stop them from a bit of domestic saber rattling.....but at the end of the day.....they ain't gonna do a damn thing.....former military or otherwise.
