I know this goes in problems, but I'm stumped and can't find the answer.
Kept getting intermittent check gauge light on z28 cluster. changed gauge with new one. Old one was reading real low and upon accelerating it would only go up to 1/4.
Ran a BMW up to 120's and that's when this started to happen!
Now, check gauge light stays on mostly and is bottomed out. upon accelerating it kicks to 1/8th and upon revs it may hit 1/4.
Car has ticking on start and it sounds really like normal. At times it just feels funny if you know what I mean, but still has power and can break em loose at will...
What the hell could it be?
BTW: did the oil pump upgrade. Meaning I put in the better spring, shaft and sleeve. That's all...

Leave the Stock Oil Pump alone.
Stock Pressure is sufficient..
You want more protection get a SIX quart oil pan.
Run 5 quarts oil and pick up 10hp for drag racing.
Run 6 quarts for autocross or road racing for safety.
