Hey guys. I think I know the answer to this, but want to confirm. I got my full Clear Image exhaust - stainless quad-1's, make up pipes, full 3" exhaust with SpinTech streets and resonators. I want to tackle the install in two phases. I want to install all but the headers first (mainly becuase I don't have it tuned yet for the EGR and AIR delete and the headers don't have these provisions). I was planning on installing the make up pipes as well (cat delete. Will this hurt the car in any way or cause it to run poorly with the rear O2 sensors not installed without having them tuned out? Or will this only set a CEL/code and not affect performance/drivability?Thanks!!

HAHA it sucks having an OBDII.
i deleted my cats with borla exhaust and it runs 10X better and its louder. but i also have an OBDI so my light didnt come on and no tune.

I actually have an Bryan Herter OBD1 conversion PCM I got from another member, but I haven't had it tuned to my car yet. It is set up for a different rear gear, throttle, MAF, plus a couple other things. I am off this week, and want to get some of this growing pile of mod parts in my garage installed. As soon as Bryan comes back from vacation, I will send him the PCM and finish my headers, SSRI, adn all the other go faster goodies I have laying around.

You can definitely install them, but you will not be able to drive the car. It will run very poorly with a computer looking for things that are not there.
If you have a 2nd car to drive around with, Install everything on the imp and use the other car to drive around in until you can get a properly tuned ecm.
Your hookup pipes won't work between stock manifolds and the catback cause the new headers will be much longer. I would just do the catback til you're ready to tune it then install headers and take the cats off.
