In general, who does everyone like online for the best quality and prices?

I used to buy everything from Dal, but from what I heard he's retired now.

I have a list of some websites, but I was hopeing for some feedback on where everyone likes to get their parts these days, again, in general. I know a lot of us mix and match, getting different parts from different providers...

I just bought a number of parts from http://www.shopgmparts.com which is run by Patrick Buick up by Rochester, NY. I just ordered the parts on sunday so I haven't received them yet but they seemed to have the best prices that I found for both parts and shipping. You can either search by part number or can even browse around for parts for most GM vehicles. As far as quality goes being that they sell new GM parts I can't really see that their quality would be any better or worse. Note however many parts have been discontinued and are of limited quantities nationwide. - Peter

I have spent thousands at rockauto.com and am very pleased. I find more name brands (DELPHI, DELCO, MOTORCRAFT,RAYBESTOS, ETC) and lower prices.

The Kragen-O-Rieley near me is offering more and more house brand china parts, that I don't trust.

Both RockAuto and RMS are very good. The one thing that I don't like when shipping with RockAuto is the automated shipping guesstimator. If you have more than one part coming from another warehouse, you'll see high shipping costs. If everything comes from one warehouse, the prices W/shipping rock.

RMS has a great selection and pricing of parts for our cars (and others), but their automated shipping calculator is also a bit expensive. I have contacted John privately and mentioned that the part I'm interested in could fit in an envelope, or a USPS flat rate box, and would he ship via that method or not. He has accommodated me when I've asked.

Both Rock & RMS often send out discount codes, and I post them in the sticky when I receive them. Check for them here:

rms, summit, rockauto, jegs... Wherever is cheapest really.

rms is fantastic about customer service.
rockauto has discount codes that can be helpful as well.
jegs and summit buy in bulk and, depending on what you are buying, can be cheaper than most places.

You really cannot go wrong with any of the above 3.

Other places depend on what you are buying. IE: clear image automotive for exhaust stuff and power performance motorsports for things like front end rebuilt kits.

hope this helps.

^^^ RMS! If you are looking for stock replacement parts they are great to work with. Plus, they are a good supporter of events. They sponsor our car show, WeSSt CoaSSt Gathering, each year. Call them up and you will not be disappointed.

I am the Hamilton Chevrolet Ebay guy and I also give about a 25% discount for items that are still available from GM and not discontinued or Obsolete yet and we carry in stock the largest group of Obsolete Caprice and Impala parts around. If there is anything Genuine GM that you need you can email me at Hamilton at mpaciorek@hamiltonchevrolet.com.

www.ebay.com (http://www.ebay.com), www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin (http://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin), www.ls1lt1.com (http://www.ls1lt1.com). you will find hella good deals on these three websites. once you cant find it on these then move on to the others. i have about 3500-4000 TOTAL on my entire car to include wheels and tires just from shopping these forums and ebay and being patient and i have replaced just about any and everything performance related.

LOL.

I don't know why everybody decided to jump on this today, but thanks so much for the good feedback.

That was very relevent and great advice that if you take your time and shop if it's not an emergency, you can do a LOT for very little money.

Thanks again everyone for the input!
