Today when i was driving around town, the temp got up to 3/4 on my 96 impala,,,
Went to my Mechanic and found the Primary fan blows less air than the Secondary one. it seems like the Secondary is stronger !
Is that right or should they both blow the same amount of air,
my car has 160T and fan tuned,.
i dont know for sure if one is stronger than the other but, Maybe just unplug the coolant temp sensor at the water pump or unplug the MAF so they will kick on and you could see if they are working ok.

The fan motors are completely different wattage. If you look you can see the size difference

It depends which cooling system you have:
Base: Primary 150w, secondary 100w
RPO V03 Extra-Capacity Cooling System: Primary 150w, secondary 240w
RPO V08 HD Cooling System: Primary Belt-driven clutch fan, secondary 240w
