Hello I have a 94 roadmaster, and while driving today with the A/C on I heard a swoosh noise under the hood and my temp went through the roof, so when I pulled over and checked the engine compartment, I noticed my lower heater hose coming from the water pump, the plastic connector had busted in two, so thankfully I put a metal pipe between and used some hose clamps to get me home, so my question is do they still make the plastic piece for the hose? or is there a better after market way to solve this from happening again, meaning using a brass pipe? any ideas would really help thank you.

CD Changer Not Working

Hi all,

I know this really belongs in the audio section, but if you moderators wouldn't mind letting this sit here for a little bit so it will get some more exposure, I'd really appreciate it. :)

My Caprice has the Delco 12 disc changer mounted in the trunk. Its always worked fine, until today. On my way home this evening, I pressed the "Tape/Aux" button on the radio, and it didn't switch to the CD changer. So, I got home, opened the CD door, and the changer didn't pop the cartridge out, but it does light up when I open the CD door. Is this a common problem with a known troubleshooting "flow chart" or fix? I still do use CD's every now and then (some to think of it, most have been in there since 1995-1998) and like to "know it's there" if I want to use it. I do have a iPod Cassette adapter that I use, but I'd like the changer to be functional.

Any ideas? :(

So iv heard awesome things about the raisse and iv also heard poor things regarding air flow through grill and hood. I have a cat eye grill so its barred rather than a web design so it would theoretically have better air flow than the stock grill. But this guys idea seems awesome to me http://s368.photobucket.com/albums/o...yDRA%20Intake/ and I have the skills to make it look pretty and keep water out. What you guys think? What kind of power do you think would come out of air being literally forced into the throttle body rather than being sucked through grill and over radiator?

Water leak drivers side

Just picked up a 95 RM Wagon and the interior has a musty smell. The only spot where I found wet carpet was on the front drivers side. I pulled back the carpet under the pedals and then put my hand under the rubber/foam material that covers the firewall, it was wet as well in the area where the e-brake cable goes through the firewall. I pulled the black plastic cowl cover and wipers off, but can't see anything in there that would lead me to think it is leaking in from that area. I also pulled off the plastic trim off the A pillar and don't see any evidence of water leaking in from that part of the window. Anybody have any ideas? FYI, this water was a result of the seller washing the car, not rain, so I can imagine it gets really wet inside during a rainstorm!

Energy Absorbers

Hey all! I was rear ended by a Prius and it damaged my left side energy absorber. The dealer says it isn't available for order anymore and I can't seem to find then anywhere. Anyone have any ideas where I might get an aftermarket absorber? I thought to go to a junkyard but the ones around here just throw the cars with out wheels on the ground so getting to them is a pain in the ass.

95 9C1, LT4 knock mod, new knock sensors, KS wire connectors and re-wired to the PCM.

The only reason i know about the major retard after acceleration is from TunerPro RT. I am going to check for continuity again and make sure everything is OK. Car is running better (less stumbling and feels smoother) but still shows knock retard where it shouldnt be. I am not sure what the electrical levels are or should be at the KS at the PCM, the connector or the sensor itself but will try to find it on the forum. I cannot figure out why the CODE 043 is still coming back and why its showing the retard. Any ideas on how to fix this? Throw them at me, I will get you the info and anything else you need.

I have

Code 73- Pressure control solenoid. (1994-95). Check the pressure solenoid. Normal resistance is between 3-8 ohms at 20C (68F).Replace if out of range. Check lines for damage. Check for clogged filter and replace f necessary.

Code 43- Knock sensor circuit. Check ecm for open or short to ground. Check routing of wiring, including spark plug wires near knock senor wiring, reroute as necessary. Replace knock sensor.

checking PCM tomorrow but maybe bad KS? or bad wiring on my part, Computer? Iv has this problem for a while and Im getting over 134 views because someone messaged me to post in this section then that section and still nothing, cmon guys. Please

Transmission "Squeak"

I recently bought a 95 Impala SS and was told the transmission had a recent rebuild. However, when I shift at wide open throttle, there is a high pitched metallic "squeak" that accompanies every downshift. I am wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone. Also, sometimes between 3rd and 4th gear when coasting, the gears fluctuate back and forth every couple seconds until I give it more gas or let off of the pedal. I don't know if these are minor issues that can be fixed or if I'm better off starting with a fresh trans that I KNOW is rebuilt. Of course the second option would be better but funds are a bit limited at the moment. Thanks
