Is a plug/harness connector from a V-6 camaro the same as a lt1 car?

Also what does the rear board mods do? I'm deleting my ABS system anyway and thought that was a the mod on the back. I thought I read about pulling bulbs out to make it work also?

I can build the harness somewhat easy thanks to this forum with the pin locations.

There are many v-6 camaro's in the JY with the harness that I plan to pull out with enough wire to put on the caprice connectors, but the attaching the two wires to the rear board looks tricky. The trimming look easy to make it fit.
I already have a 95 Lt1 Z-28 cluster on good shape
Thanks for any help

Hey guys,

I think it is finally time to let her go. I have owned this car for 10 years, and have put far too much blood, sweat, dollars and tears into her for her to sit under a cover in an aircooled garage for years.

I live in NYC right now and the car has been living in CA. She has the original 33k miles on motor/tranny, and the interior still looks new! Some of you may remember my car, but for others it is new. Make a long story short, I have done a ton of work to it, and everyone who sees it falls in love with it. I wish I kept a running log of mods, but alas I didn't have the foresight. I am going to catalog what I can remember, but I assure you there is more.

22x9.5, 22x11 one off rims custom made for perfect spacing. 305/25/22 and 265/30/22 up front on Sprint springs, Bilstien shocks, ZQ8 bumpstops, and Hotchkis x-tend control arm.

Kore 3 big brake kit 355mm C5, stainless steel lines, hawk pads, etc
http://www.kore3.com/proddetail.php?prod=10179-04

Clear image Tri-Y Header Package:2 spiral wound 304 Stainless hi flow
converters, CHROMEX Coating.

Full Cat back exhaust, RAISS intake, fbody maf, tb bypass, 160 stat, Optima yellow top, 280 amp alternator.

Audio is where I put the most time and money into this.
(1) JBL 600.4 (1) Orion 2500D (2) 12.4 H2's mounted in a custom enclosure that replaced the rear deck lid. Ported and loud and deep as you've ever heard. Whole trunk and most of the interior is Secondskinned, many layers over. Running 5.25" s500 Diamond Audio Hex's and Diamond Audio 6x9's in the rear. The system knocks like crazy. And it doesn't rattle or sound like ****, it is honestly pretty impressive. It is all run through a kenwood double din navigation on the dash.

7" monitors in the visors connected to ps2 in the glovebox.

The car has been professionally detailed far too many times, and has never been in any sort of accident or scuffle.

Double layer of limo tint on every window, and 35% on the windshield.

I am willing to let her go to the right family, but it will need to be just that!

$22,000 OBO.

Feel free to message me for a phone number or email address.

Thanks

Gents,

I'm now installing my SLP headers (Yes, JetHot coated inside & out) that have been sitting on a shelf with the Magnaflow cats and Borla cat-back for the past 3 years. I just noticed the Magnaflow cats only have two O2 sensor bungs, instead of the four the originals had.

What's the best "sniff friendly" option? Have two more bungs welded-in, or install rear O2 sensor simulators? I'm in Wisconsin, and don't know if they'll reinstate the sniff test. Does anyone still sell the simulators?

Does anyone have a picture of stock cat O2 sensor bung locations? Of course, I recycled the stockers without taking pictures of them...

I also just had the broken rear driver's side exhaust manifold bolt removed by an ex-Army Ranger who's now a mobile welder. It was all cool until the decrepit firewall matting caught fire... No damage to anything else, but a wasted water bottle...

Thanks, Rob

i dont even pretend to know anything about alignments but i have major issues with my left front constantly wearing out on the inside. a few years ago it was set to 'spec' then i noticed it still was wearing..then he did something (i dont even remember what) to try to rectify this

well whatever it is didnt work. my front was bad for inspection so i got 2 new tires for the rear and put the old tires on the front of the car. now that LF is pretty much shot after just a few months

he told me he will look into a 'helper kit' which inferred something about adjusting the car beyond spec? i dont really care what he does but i need the 200 dollar tires to stop wearing out

also the shop is a stickler for state inspection so everything has to have been ok for that back in FEB

So as some of you may have seen in other threads lately, I have been doing a LOT of pondering on what to do with my tire/budget situation... I had 235/60/15s on the front, and 255/60/15s on the rear in the ever-popular Firestone Indy 500s. But as some of you know, those have been discontinued... So I was trying to go to the 2010-13 Camaro base model 18" black wheels with custom adaptors made, but it ended up exceeding my budget by a bit... I did not want to go back to original type 225/75/15 whitewalls, and they are not making many tires in the 255/60s anymore and none at all that I feel are resonably priced... So this weekend I ended up talking myself into going 235/60/15 all the way around(Primewell PS 860s - $80.00/ea.). This way I will be able to rotate them and get a bit more mileage out of this set. They will also be a little lighter, and being 26" tall they will raise my effective gear ratio from 2.56:1 with stock size rubber to 2.78:1(according to the tire size/gear ratio calculators) which will help a tiny bit in acceleration(and I'll take every little bit I can get)... I am not entirely happy with the appearance, especially going down from the 255s, but I will get used to it I suppose. My car is pretty low, so I can get away with them ok without it looking stupid - like the car has casters instead of wheels. But it's close. LOL... I'll tell you what though, overall I am pleased with the choice. I recalibrated my speedo with my Hypertech, and have driven the car about 100 miles or so. The car is DEFINITELY a little quicker... doesn't fall flat on it's face anymore when it goes into 2nd, which is nice... and I even heard a little baby "chirp" a few times yesterday when I stood on it during the 1-2 shift. Hoping for a 14.6 next time out at the track... not bad for almost bone stock with 2.56s and full furniture... :)
