that's a pre-fabbed Class A chimney you've got there. It'II have a round pipe going up thru the center (looks like an inch larger than your furnace vent) surrounded by insulation. Most likely an oil...

IF your gas furnace is 30 year's old, get rid of it FAST.
Half of every dollar you feed it is going up the chimney, it's got an old belt driven fan in the back (direct drive nowadays)...
