Default possible dead water pump

I flushed the heater core due to poor heat. After i buttoned everything back up i went to bleed the air out and......nothing. No air, no coolant nothing. i drove to work (60 miles round trip) and bled it again...still nothing.

Does this mean the waterpump isn't working? Thats the only thing that i can think of that would cause there to be no coolant flow. it doesn't seem to be running hot, which i also odd since it does not seem to be getting any flow. Any help is greatly appricated. thanks.

Possibly, but is has your thermostat been changed? Also how much coolant/water have you added?

Tell me something, does your drivers elec. fan run also? Do you get an occassional drip on your belt? Or a whine when turning every now and again? Then, yep....It's your waterpump and or thermostat in my opinion...Good luck bro

I'm going to try to change the thermostat this weekend. I added about a gallon of coolant i guess. The overflow tank has plenty in it.

I haven't noticed any leaks but after 120k miles its pretty messy in there.

The drivers side fan doesn't come on when the passanger one goes on. Haven't noticed any whining at all.

For now , as long as the pass. side fan is coming on & shutting off, and you aren't overheating, don't worry about the drivers side fan. If you drove a 60 mile round trip without overheating, your WP is working. But it sounds like you aren't building any pressure. Maybe you need a new res. cap.
