I flushed it AND changed the filter.

I'm not even sure if there was water in it.

That transmission was rebuilt at the first of the year.

How would water have gotten in? Isn't it under pressure inside there?

This undocumented, unproven, old wifes tale about high miles and flushing has reared its ugly head again.

Default I would...

Pull the plugs out of the tranny and check for water before you take it to the transmission shop.if the water got up high enough to get in the breather tube (the only way to get in IMO)you would be having more troubles than it slipping ,that green plug is the main electronics plug

Well...I took it to the nearest tranny shop that could do a power flush.

Now, I guess I need to take it to the guy who built the tranny. Hopefully it won't need a whole rebuild. It was expensive.

Is there anything I can put in it that might help mitigate problems?

This is a bigger disaster than I thought...

Default Barsleaks?

What about Barsleaks for the transmission? Could it be of any help?

i would not add any kind of "additive" to the tranny...4l60E's can be pretty tempermental

I took it for a bit of a test drive today. At first, it would immediately stall if I tried to idle in gear. Like I'd dumped a clutch. If I feathered the gas with no brake when I put it in gear, I could go. After about 1 mile, that stopped. When I made it to the feeder road, it ran pretty strong. After about a mile on the freeway, it started slipping really bad in 3rd and 4th. I drove about 2 miles to the next u-turn and noticed the stalling was back. By the time I got home, I wasn't sure how well the engine was running.

I put some anti-freeze in the fuel tank.

I guess I'll get it to the transmission shop Monday morning.
