Default Transmission cooler fitting?

I am In the process of getting my dad engine ready to place back into the car, and one of the things I am doing to get it ready is replacing all the rubber lines. I am working on the transmission line right now as part of the line was starting to rust. This isn't a big deal for me as I have a very nice set of double flaring and tubing bending tools.

After looking at it a little, I would really like to run braided Teflon back to the hard line by the engine. I order the fitting below and it seems to fit, but I am not sure about the degree of the flare, as all the AN line fittings are 37 degree.

Will this work? Please let me know what you think, thanks

Forgot to mention that this is for an external cooler on a 9C1.

Default Transmission cooler fitting?

Seemed to fit what? Could you be more vague? Line to hose? Hose to cooler? Adapters are available for both, but usually they have male ends,to be compatible with hose ends, which are usually female. I use Aeroquip myself, and recommend you get a product application guide, they are informative, and very useful.

Default External cooler

I am talking about the external cooler and the fitting in the link in my first post. There is only one way to put these two items together.

I just wanted to make sure that it is usable in the application as stated.

If the metal lines are good on both sides and you are just worried about the rubber hose/crimps in the center. I would just use some AN Hardline adapters and replace the rubber portion/crimps with some braided Line. Have not done it yet, but it's on my list for both Tranny and Oil cooler. Many threads on this topic with parts list and all.

4Door, that is how this started, as I have completed this swap on my car right before I did the 4L60 delete mod. In fact, it did work really well, that is using adapters to go from the hard line to SS braided line.

Since the hard lines on my dads car were rusted, I decided to replace the hard line. I have new lines that I can bend and flare to replace the hard lines I removed, but it is so much easier if I could just use SS braided line to go to the external cooler, as I would only have one transition from flex line to hard line.

I guess the question could be simplified to: What thread size is the external cooler on a 9C1, and is the flare a 37 degree flare?
