Default Grill ideas??

Hi i am rebuilding the front end of my 95 RMW due to the accident i was in. I am using an oldsmobile front end and can no longer fit the original Roadmaster wagon grill in it. I was wondering if anyone could give me some grill options/ideas. i have a buick emblem to put on the grill. thank you in advance.

Hi

Think you answered your own question pretty much. The RMW won't fit anymore. You can either use the olds grill or an SS grill that many use.

If the RMW grill is in good shape, it should be worth $75.

If you use a RMW bumper beam you can use the Buick grill with the Olds bumper cover.

Thank you for the information. I have an extra RMW grill from when my dad bought the car would it be possible to cut it down to size? or would that not be worth the time? If i use the RMW bumper how would i alter the Olds bumper cover? thanks

Please do not ruin a good RMW grill. Sell it to someone who needs it and/or trade it for a Custom Cruiser grill.

The RM grille support is different from the Olds grille support. The RM grille will not bolt up to the Olds support. If you want to go back to the RM grille, you need the RM support. You also should have the bumper support, and the cover, for it to work together.

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately i am using all the oldsmobile parts because the RMW parts were all damaged and i do not think i can reuse them. I do not want to mutilate any Wagon parts. I am probably just going to buy an ebay caprice or impala aftermarket grill...

If you can find a RMW bumper support...you can use a RMW grille with your OCC bumper (I did on my wagon) Otherwise, you can not use the stock RMW grille with an OCC or Caprice bumper support.

If you want to try to cut the stock RMW grill to fit...I'm sure it can be done....but why do all that work when an aftermarket SS grille or Caprice grille can be had cheaply on ebay? You can have some fun with those! Also, you will need the OCC (or you can use one from a Caprice) grille mounting bracket too.

Make a custom grill. This is a caprice outer shell, with aluminum bars from Home Depot

* edit: for some reason the picture would not show up when I tried to link it, so just use the link itself.

Has anyone done a grill like this with vertical bars? to make it look somewhat like the original RM grill?
