I have a 96 impala that will start but dies. I changed the wiring harness in the whole car. I also changed gas tank,fuel tank. I need help

The first things that comes to mind is the MAF sensor. If it, or the tube between it and the intake, is not hooked up the car will shut off within a couple seconds if i remember correctly.
If it's not that, we will need more info to guess further.

Its holding fuel pressure,since I changed wire harness out you think the key is not reading?

If it were the key it would not crank or run at all.

IIRC, the PCM checks for oil pressure about 5 - 7 seconds after start-up and shuts the engine down if it's too low...?
I also 'thought' the VATS would allow the car to run for a few seconds with the 'right key but wrong/no chip'...? Not much help... .

The guy I have working on it says a wire hooked up to steering column was cut.

Has the car been tuned? If VATS wasn't turned off that might be the reason. Every time I've tested a new tune I had to shut VATS off to get the car to stay running. It was the same problem you're describing.. Start for a couple seconds then shut down. Just a suggestion.
