OP, where did you get the rubber trim that you put around the head shield? That looks really nice.

thanks everyone, that looks great as well. after i made the box, there was no form of rubber so i went ahead and took weathstriping i had from a 95 9c1 , and slid it on top of the aluminum and it stays in place in the corners perfectly. looks like as if it was oem.

now im wondering if i should paint the intake box black? what do you guys think?

I vote for black so it doesn't stand out. I also vote you post the dimensions so we can copy your work

That's a nice job. You probably saved a lot of money doing it yourself. I tried making one and it looked like I "made" it. I tossed it.

thanks i appreciate it guys! all that was needed was a grinder ,pop pins, and a sheet of aluminum or metal that will be made into two seperate pieces. also needed is weathrstriping or rubber for a finished look, then cuting precise lines so it goes with the shape of hoodinsulation and lines of car, as well as making it go with the flow of the windshieldwiper fluid resevouir and being able to bend it so it looks like the one that you could purchase. time consuming and happy with final result. thanks guys
