You need to lube the 11 chassis grease fittings everytime you change the oil. There is no cap on the radiator. The coolant reservoir is part of the pressurized system and the 15lb pressure cap is on it. It is a 9c1 with LT1 per compnine.com and has 3.08 gears and is a pegleg (non-Posi). The VIN is 1G1B"L" not "1". Buy a Haynes Manual or FSM before you start working on the car and read Qalo's handbook as suggested. FYI the ImpalaSS Wx3 is an option on a Caprice not a separate car line. The green hoses are superior to the black ones that would have come with the SS option. Some of us actually like 9c1's better but since you are so concerned with lowering it, I presume you are not one of us.

maybe make him buy it back or refund a good chunk of the purchase price back or take him to small claims court if they have them in your state. next time, research first then purchase. compnine still works Quote:

Nothing wrong with a Caprice clone, but if you knew that before hand. My main issue would be with the guy that told you it was an Impala and then lafter the sale says it is a clone...that's a bunch of BS. It is a shame that you did not get what you thought or were told it was.
Certain clues I see in the pics show me it was not an impala. Things missing like twilight sentinel, yellow trunk button on HL switch, other interior stuff. But on the plus side, they did a good job on the exterior and adding impala trim. Overall, looks like a good start and a nice ride that can be modded as you like. I added eibach pro springs to my 95 caprice years ago and love the look and ride. I could add a few pics if you want to get an idea on stance. A good set of shocks would complete tHe package. Just chalk up the false Impala billing as a learning experience and see what kind of honor this seller has when confronted with what you know NOW.

![]() But here is a link with.some pics of my car, kind of before and after. See post 2 of this thread. http://www.impalassforum.com/vBullet...d.php?t=277617 I've added a lot to her over the years so can appreciate having a bone stock Caprice with little options.
