Smile Idler Pulley = Belt Tensioner

Sorry, I've always called the Belt Tensioner an Idler Pulley - as you can see I've replaced a bunch of them.

The EGR thu a code, Don't remember which one. Replacement cleared code and no further problems.

I've been through 4 water pumps at 100,000 miles. all AC-delco, and this one is leaking.

338K with my 87 caprice (see sig for details)

unfortunately i had no idea my SS was overheating so my original engine only had 224 on it. but with this new engine it better last at least as long as the caprice!

95 DCM 224K stock except for Borla...new engine in at 224K in 8/2012 with TONS of new parts......87 caprice became my snow car in 2000 and it was laid to "rust" in 10/07 with 338K. Rebuilt trans at 308,000 (lasted pretty long I think); new radiator 330,000 (they said it literally disintegrated when they took it off); SS better last at least that long

246,000 96 Impala..
Trans replace at about 60,000 due to broken sun gear (NOT from abuse),
on 3rd water pump, 2nd radiator, replaced plugs twice, wires twice, 100,000 on cap/rotor (still orig opti, but I have 2 spares..lol!), front end rebuilt around 100k, exhaust replaced once about 100k ago, rear axle bearings replace around 150k..
Original: Fuel pump, opti, p/s pump, compressor, starter...

My Father was orig owner until just over a year ago when he gifted it to me, so I feel a responsibility to him to baby it!!
