Smile FS: Forged LT1/4 383ci (ERE #3)
ERE#3 For Sale

This short-block 383 engine was recently professionally rebuilt (by Long's Machine Shop, San Antonio, Tx) due to a blown head gasket. The block, crank, pistons and rods were all checked/cleaned. Block deck was still even but the cylinders were rehoned.

The engine features the following:

Ohio Crank forged 4340 steel 3.75” crank (re-polished)
Eagle Forged 6.0” H-beam Rods
Mahle Flattop Pistons with -16 Valve Reliefs
Milodon Splayed caps
Clevite Bearings
Mahle Rings
New stock oil pan
Melling M-55 HV oil pump
Stock balancer Hub
B&M Flexplate
11.14 static compression ratio if you go with .030" gaskets and 54cc heads
Custom cam; 228/234/110 with .611 lift on both intake and exhaust using 1.6 rockers


$3750 + shipping via UPS Freight.

3750 is just a tad on the high side for a used shortblock no?

No.

All strokers are used blocks.

And all strokers are rebuilds.

And this rebuild, all forged, has zero miles on it.

Quit crapping on this guy's thread. If you don't like the price, keep your yap shut and move along. If you're trying to bargain with him - do it over PM. You're not the arbiter of "good deals".

The mill is too rich for my blood, but if I had the cash, I'd definitely be interested. The workmanship is worth a premium.
