Bump and Merry Christmas to everyone. We have our new low mileage short block all ready to assemble. We are putting it in this week. This will hold us over while we spend the time building the engine we want. I couldn't stand not having the car driveable. I get all depressed and chit.
We found out that our old engine failed because we lost the pickup tube. I guess our weld was not good. Has anyone been going to the drags the last couple of months? Work has been insane but I want to go hang out soon. Stu is driving now!

Happy Holidays to you as well! Haven't signed in here in almost 3 months! Know what you mean about getting depressed when your car has downtime,it's like part of you is missing... Too bad about your pick-up tube.... That's why I installed this while I had my oil pan off last year...  Cheap insurance, and no welding or brazing required.... No problems yet! Wish I had time to go to the track...Especially with the last couple weeks being pretty cold.... I thought I'd have some 1.7 Rockers installed by now, but lifes gotten in the way and I've had to put the '95 and my other projects on hold till I move...

Ohhhhhhh buddy.......
It was a Crazy Christmas break for sure. We got a low mileage lt1 bottom end to put in DM. That is moving along although the rain we had made things move slowly. Stu gets his license next month and as we are putting the car back together I still am not sure if he will be driving it everyday. Cindi and I have been looking for a cheap beater Saturn or something for him. Oh and... Shawn gotz a new toy!!!! Hopefully I will get it tomorrow and I will post pictures. I worked out the deal yesterday and now am waiting for it to be prepped and delivered. I have been looking for this specific car for quite a while now and it will be my next fun fast car slash daily driver slash sunday family drive car- the way DM started out for us.
