Well, not exactly.....

Some interesting news has broken in the wake of the latest push for gun control by President Obama and Senate Democrats: Obama sends his kids to a school where armed guards are used as a matter of fact.
The school, Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, has 11 security officers and is seeking to hire a new police officer as we speak.
If you dismiss this by saying, "Of course they have armed guards -- they get Secret Service protection," then you've missed the larger point.
The larger point is that this is standard operating procedure for the school, period. And this is the reason people like NBC's David Gregory send their kids to Sidwell, they know their kids will be protected from the carnage that befell kids at a school where armed guards weren't used (and weren't even allowed).
Shame on President Obama for seeking more gun control and for trying to prevent the parents of other school children from doing what he has clearly done for his own. His children sit under the protection guns afford, while the children of regular Americans are sacrificed.




This is yet another example of our elected officials holding themselves to a different standard than the unruly mobs they "represent".

Republicans and Democrats alike are exempt from Obamacare.

They wisely exempted THEMSELVES from Social Security.

It was ONLY RECENTLY that they passed a bill that would remove their long standing exemption to prosecution for INSIDER TRADING!!

These are just a few examples. I'm sure there are many more.

Of course Obama and his family will have armed security for the rest of their lives, at our expense.

His security detail will be the largest any president has had, required for obvious reasons. I wonder if HIS security detail carries weapons with high capacity magazines? What do you think?

Do you think any potential gun legislation will have any effect on what THEY carry, or do you think they'll be exempted? Again.

If we are no longer allowed as commoners to have guns it might make the world a little safer for Obama.

Do you really think it will be a safer place for you or your family?

Apparently there isnt as much federal law keeping schools from having armed gaurds or allow staff to carry. There is a few districts and more more allow staff who have ccw to carry or if funds allow hiring armed guards.

So just because obama isnt promoting it, that doesnt mean that you cant try and get your own local schools to get on board.

Here in Ohio,the discretion is with each school district. Some will,some won't.

In 1954, there were only a dozen armed robberies in London but, by the 1990s, there were more than a hundred times as many. In England, as in the United States, drastic crackdowns on gun ownership by law-abiding citizens were accompanied by ever greater leniency to criminals. In both countries, this turned out to be a formula for disaster.

While England has not yet reached the American level of murders, it has already surpassed the United States in rates of robbery and burglary.
Moreover, in recent years the murder rate in England has been going up under still more severe gun control laws, while the murder rate in the United States has been going down as more and more states have allowed private citizens to carry concealed weapons -- and have begun locking up more criminals.
