I've ran Kumo's, Nitto's, Hankook's and BFG's, all have sucked in my opinion with the hankooks being the best. Serenity's are a damn good tire, i would be willing to pay $300 a tire for them.

Someone asked about the 275-40-17 on a stock SS wheel. Here's a couple pic's. Tires are Nexen n7000. Inexpensive tire that handles great, quiet, and has lasted long!!
Get some rub on passenger side when car is loaded (people, stuff, etc). I'm lowered 1.5" in front & at least 2" out back.

Too bad,you dislike BFG. The KDW is a superb tire.

Hell.....stock tires have been known to rub on some B-bodies. The Kumho ASX's (255/50-17) are less than the tires that you're looking at (about 140 ea.)......even accounting for your employee discount. And I gotta tell ya......damn good tire! http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...50&diameter=17 But for my money.....I'd go with the 285/40-17's on stock rims. They look way batter than 275/40's, and yes....they WILL fit the stock rims just fine! At least the Kumhos did .http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...40&diameter=17 Good luck! KW

No,mine is not at "true" stock height. Between the weight that's been removed from the nose, and the air-lift bags inside the rear coils. I doubt it's down much, probably less than an inch. That being said,if you're showing much of a gap it will grow slightly with these tires. The improved handling alone is a good enough reason to get them. If later on you decide to lower the car slightly,it's pretty easy done.

I am running 235/55-17 on mine. They are about the same height but an inch narrower than stock. Wasn't my first choice but the were free hardly used police takeoffs. I got 2 sets of them, so I figured I have a couple summers of burning before I got to actually pony up some cash for the right size tires.

I know this is an absolutely horribly pic and you can't tell anything, but the impala has 245 50's up front, 275 50's in the rear. Doesn't look bad at all actually, but the fronts lowered an inch i believe.
![]() My dad bought the 245 50's in GA, where you work?
