I had to replace the battery in my 08 toaday. I hope it clears up the alt issues as it was full field to try to charge a cell lost battery. Know more tomorrow. Only issues except front wheel beraings in 90 k miles.

5 years/100k warranty... odds are his warranty ran out because of time, not mileage.

I put a couple grand into my TBSS and went 12.7@106. I daily beat it and it never missed a lick. Every car has its flaws. Take what the online community has to say with a grain of salt. 6-7k worth of members on a forum(s) vehicle that was mass produced isn't going to net you an accurate description of the vehicle. A large majority of the time you are going to only hear about how bad this is or how bad that is. For every trans or spun bearing, there are countless vehicles who never had any ounce or hint of problems. In all my years (I am still a rookie or amateur in most peoples eyes) in the car scene, all being gm products that I have bought/modified, I found that most of my problems were self inflicted on my part or something that someone else did. Rarely was my issue with the manufacturer. Take it for what it is worth, if you are that worried, find a BONE STOCK grandpa driven or a fully built one that was well documented and go from there.

I am perfectly happy with the one I got. I rarely drive it due to it being way to nice for me to trash it with my work clothes & parts chasing. Also that it is a bitch to keep clean being black. When I do drive it I enjoy it. Know all I have to do is pay it off.
