ECIRS 2012 Wrap up and 2013 Planning Thread

Ok....a couple things....

First off....the new rule of allowing any year Impala/ Caprice is HUGE to me. I have inquired a few times about competing, but was always shot down for the year (1981).

My only concern with allowing points from National Events to count would be whether the national events allow "all years." If not, it may put some of us at a disadvantage (unless I am misinterpreting how the points structure works)?

My final question....what would I need to do to be put on the roster for next year? Is there any type of membership, application and/or fee that needs to be posted?

Just like last year PHASST is willing to host and sponsor an event at cecil but we wood need u guys to set it up n lock in the date. Just tell us when n i wil send the funds.

Our national body ISSCA Impala SS clubs of America allows all year
impalas so points for national events shouldn't be a problem if that is even decided on.

To register email Ratssled and request a car number.
No reg. fee.

Alex, call Cecil and set up a date. Maybe you have a connection there.
We haven't had an ECIRS race there in some years because the track acts
like they don't want club races. See if you can hook it up!
The last weekend in March sounds good!

NO it was AWESOME..
We had some 80-85 Impala guys attend.
Not everyone wants to race but appreciate the attendance and interest.

Capital loves us.
The first year 50 INC cars showed up.
Causing a parking problem with the racers.

It looks like Saturday September 7th with be the 43rd Annual CT Tri-9 Dragday at
Lebanon Valley Dragway in Scenic Upstate NY!

LVD posted their tentative schedule on Facebook for now...

I will contact them to verify.


And Looking forward to 2014, we are planning to take a "Road Trip" across the pond...
CT Tri-9 Dragday will "tentatively" be held here...

How are we doing scheduling other ECIRS Races?

Good news, Rob is going to try and get a RAISSE event for 2013 in late July. He’s going to ask for Saturday, July 27th. With Island Dragway probably out of the picture, we got back in with ETown and Keefer booked a bunch of dates for us. Hey, it’s better than nothing regardless of what we think of ETown in the past. The new girl at ETown has been very nice to us and has promised us good treatment. She remembers us and likes us.

So we are all on the same page, and for planning purposes, here are the locked in or at least pretty solid dates for 2013. See below. For those still trying to plan races, I see openings in mid April, mid-May through mid-June, mid-July, 3rd week in August, and any of the first 3 weeks in October.
