yup LT1's are junk, so send em all to me and I'll dispose of them properly. What a homo, tell that guy to get ****ed.

Wow! this post was the best i read in along time, made you think twice about what to aim for at the street, i am collecting parts for a 383 stroker and so far got my hands on a moore block with all the work done inc oliver billet splayd caps lunati crank and mahle-28cc from ellwein le2 heads and cam from stony azm 58mm meziere pump msd6 btm want to go procharger but will have to try it out with a powerdyne first that i got cheap i think this will be quit allwrigth for the street, and not a b-body then, going fleetwood -96 just for the fun of it, thanks guys this forum is awsome jannewalis sweden

sounds like a good build jan. one good thing about people starting to disown LT1's is the rest of us can pick em up cheap. i've also been snaggin pieces to build a budget 383 over the last year or so

yea I picked up a long block from a roadmaster for 50 bucks the other day, Gonna rebuild it to go in my truck.

Makes me wonder if some day the guys with LT1's in their B-Bodies
will be like the guys with original flatheads in their vintage Fords.

Sure, running an SBC in a vintage Ford is faster, better, etc.

BUT, IMHO a flathead is WAAAAAY cooler.
