Default adding trunk release by headlight switch

so i searched and didn't see what im looking for.

im working on something where i want to add a trunk relase button (not the yellow circle) by the headlight switch but since mine didn't come with that option, id like to know how to wire it.

im hoping its as simple as splicing the wires by the glove box trunk release and adding the extra one to them

any help?

As long as you bridge both wires for your new switch. Otherwise, you'll find you need to press both buttons to operate the trunk release.

Tapping into the wires will work just fine. All you have to do is close the circuit with either switch. They do not require observing polarity, because the switch body itself is not a ground, or grounded.
