i'm wanting to know.. what type of mph are you hitting at the top of 3rd?
also at what rpm and your tire diameter would help.

With factory 27" tall tires, you should be able to hit 118 mph in 3rd gear with 4.10s and no converter slip at 6000 RPM.
Here's a table that I got from: http://www.f-body.org/gears/ RPM 1st Gear 2nd Gear 3rd Gear 4th Gear 5th Gear 6th Gear 500 3 6 10 14 600 4 7 12 17 700 4 8 14 20 800 5 10 16 22 900 6 11 18 25 1000 6 12 20 28 1100 7 13 22 31 1200 8 15 24 34 1300 8 16 26 36 1400 9 17 27 39 1500 10 18 29 42 1600 10 19 31 45 1700 11 21 33 48 1800 12 22 35 50 1900 12 23 37 53 2000 13 24 39 56 2100 13 25 41 59 2200 14 27 43 62 2300 15 28 45 64 2400 15 29 47 67 2500 16 30 49 70 2600 17 31 51 73 2700 17 33 53 76 2800 18 34 55 78 2900 19 35 57 81 3000 19 36 59 84 3100 20 38 61 87 3200 21 39 63 90 3300 21 40 65 92 3400 22 41 67 95 3500 22 42 69 98 3600 23 44 71 101 3700 24 45 73 104 3800 24 46 75 107 3900 25 47 77 109 4000 26 48 78 112 4100 26 50 80 115 4200 27 51 82 118 4300 28 52 84 121 4400 28 53 86 123 4500 29 54 88 126 4600 29 56 90 129 4700 30 57 92 132 4800 31 58 94 135 4900 31 59 96 137 5000 32 61 98 140 5100 33 62 100 143 5200 33 63 102 146 5300 34 64 104 149 5400 35 65 106 151 5500 35 67 108 154 5600 36 68 110 157 5700 37 69 112 160 5800 37 70 114 163 5900 38 71 116 165 6000 38 73 118 168 Use this site to calculate it for different tire sizes: |

mr nab!
yeah my concern is that ive got 28" street radials, 4.10s, 4000ss and running right up to 7000ish... i Thought i hit 125ish at one point, but i found an end-of-season video showing 110 on the z28 cluster.

Here's the table from 6000 - 7000 RPM w/ 28" tires and 4L60E.
Looks like you can hit 142 mph w/ no convertert slip but a 4000 stall will slip quite a bit, so your probably limited to 125 mph or so like you stated. 6000 40 75 122 174 6100 41 77 124 177 6200 41 78 126 180 6300 42 79 128 183 6400 42 80 130 186 6500 43 82 132 189 6600 44 83 134 192 6700 44 84 136 194 6800 45 85 138 197 6900 46 87 140 200 7000 46 88 142 203
