Default Addiction is a bitch

Well now I got it too... Multiple Wagon Disorder. Could I be happy with only one wagon?

Noooo! I HAD to get another one. After seeing a bunch of you guys scoring OCCs, Roadmasters, Caprice Wagons lately, I felt a need myself. After casually looking around locally, I didn't find anything that was nice and more importantly cheap. I really didn't want another rust infested Buffalo wagon, (one is enough) and I see that another issf member had a parts wagon in florida.

Hmmm, I had been planning on going to Orlando for the World street finals (this past weekend) and If I combined the trip with getting another toy ... so I sent off a PM. After seeing some pics and his willingness to sit on it for 3 weeks, and let me keep the trailer at his house while we were in orlando, the deal was struck.

Now to get it past the wifey....It would cost about a hundred more to drive than fly for 2 of us, but we didn't need to get a rental while in orlando, so it was a wash. She says "I'm not gonna drive there and back."(done that several times before) So, I offer; "you fly, I drive" she thought about it and said yes!!!

crap... now I gotta find a sucker..er...copilot.
well, I convince a buddy of mine that has 2 wagons himself, on seeing the races and besides, how can you say no to traveling 2500 mi. round trip to go get another wagon?
After a succesful trip with no breakdows, tickets, or drama, I am now the proud owner of a Florida $250 '91 roadmaster with no motor/trans or RUST.

Sweet score, Paul!

Gonna transfer all the work from the crusty one to this one? Or is your daughter gonna keep that one?

Nice score, I like that color, looks sweet! What are your plans for it? I know about multiple wagon disorder (not anywhere near as much as sprocket knows). I casually browsed craigslist one day, and a few hours later I had another wagon.

Hey Bill,
No can do, Goldmember has had its LT1 sold, the 4l60e is in another car, and a bigger motor is almost ready.

This roadmaster will be a new project. Just looking it over right now and getting some ideas as to which way to go with this.
I put it on the lift tonite to check it out and i am, to say the least, very pleased with the body and frame condition.

Interior is beat. Like not even usable, it's all sunfaded, warped and brittle. Even the bonnies are worn

underneath the floor is rustfree!

the body mounts that rot out frequently on the northern cars

a wipe down with a rag and paint is still on the control arms

Oh, how many times have I done brakelines....not here

peeled out the carpet and where's the rust?

The interior is going to get a complete replacement. I have a set of dark grey bonnies that i would like to dye in black and a complete set of '94 caprice panels in red or '94 tan RM panels that will be SEMed black.

As to the exterior, I will be deWooding it and losing the trim. I plan on painting it a different color(don't want 2 wagons the same color) so grinding down the trim studs and TIGing the holes is not a big deal. I already have a belltech rollpan for it, so that will find its way on soon.

Looks like you got your hands full for a winter project. The lack of rust is unbelievable! The interior makes it look like a Beatmaster! Keep us updated on the progress.

I wondered who scored that wagon. He'd been trying to sell it for awhile. I was glad he wasn't close to me otherwise, I'd most likely picked it up. Congrats on a clean body and saving another one.

Looks like a nice wagon. The sheet metal looks like new! Nothing wrong with buying a second wagon; some deals you just can't pass up!
