Default Best Tuner / Programmer.....?

I apologize if this has been gone over and over....but the search doesn't really seem to be working. Show's the threads....but nothing in the threads. I'm doing a 396 LT4 twin turbo setup for a 96 Impala...and am curious on what the best tuner is out there for these vehicles. I'm curious as to what the limitations are of the LT1 edit...and I've been hearing about TunerCat or Tuner Pro. I don't want to go custom like I did on my twin turbo Syclone (BS3). I would rather keep more or less a factory harness and ECM. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dave...

Everybody knows that a Hypertech hand held programmer is the best ever...

OK, well, not so much

if you want a cookie cutter go with the ones mentioned, but if you want someone who is hands down "the man" whne it comes to these cars (LS1's also) then you talk to Tad, he's a forum member,

he's not just a computer guy who changes parameters in the PCM based on some spread sheet, he actually builds these motors so he knows them inside and out , knows what needs to be done where and why.

He's a busy man but if you want the absolute best you have Tad do it. i had him do mine and i could not be happier (well i could if i had an LSx swap but that's another story hehe)

he goes by Protools on the forum.

Actually, he goes by Protools4 here....

You DO NOT want a "cookie cutter"..... nothing about your build is a cookie cutter. Nothing beats an "in person" tune that will get it RIGHT.... not just "close enough". Tad has tuned many many forced induction motors and knows what he's doing. He will tell you if there's anything not right... and will refuse to tune it if something is not up to his high standards.

Since you spent a good chunk of change on your build, get the best guy to tune it. All of it can be done with the factory PCM.
