How hard is this to do? What does it take?
Im talking about just changing the plastic lenses NOT the entire assembly.

Its a matter of taking off the sealant and carefully prying the lens apart from the capsule being careful to not break the tabs, then its just a re-seal of the lens.
Not that hard at all, but defiantely a patience thing.

So this could be done without any worries about damage to the lens?
I have a extra set (lenses only) I was thinking about playing with, then selling them on the forum.

try a search, heat from a oven or heat gun I think has been mentioned when doing the reflective 3m tape mod.

I used a butter knife and just slowly pryed the two pieces apart. Take it slow and you should have no problems.

I've always used a heat gun and a couple plastic trim removal tools to gently pry the lenses apart. Then clear silicone to reseal.
