I couldn't get the old thread to work.
Here is what I did today: I had a custom decal made for the RM: ![]() It's a big sucker, at 40" wide by about 7" tall. I stuck it here: ![]() Came out pretty darn good if I do say so myself ![]() I'll take some better pics at Saturday's show.

That looks good! What are you using for your under hood pad thingy that sticker is stuck to?

So how did you make it stick? I have a new underhood liner on mine and tried something similar with a vinyl sticker and it would not stick to the liner.

and all the vendors on eBay selling Vette emblems for the C5's and C6's... It was a bit of a bee-otch to get the sticker off of the backing... I cursed like a sailor during the install (or maybe the dad from a Christmas Story) Anyway, if you go real slow, and pull the backing and keep holding each part of decal as it comes off the backing, it will work. Ideally, it would be 100 times easier if I had just taken the hood liner off first, but I don't have enough clips on hand to re-attach it, and I have a show this Saturday. Once I got the backing off, a lot of the letters were loose, or needed adjusting... I just c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y put each one where it belongs. Then, I used a hair dryer to heat each letter up, and smooth it out. The hair dryer will soften the vinyl, and remove any and all wrinkles. Also, I had measured in advance, and had masking tape surrounding the decal, so I was 100% sure of placement, and placement wasn't an additional issue while taking the backing off the decal. It's not real easy, but not that hard. I know it seems like it won't stick, but they will. The fact that you have to push them on to stick is both a good thing, as you have time to work, but it's a bad thing, as it's hard to get the damn letters off the backing... Just take your time. Take breaks. ![]() I am pretty excited to see how it looks at the next show.

I am not sure of the part number, but I am sure I have the correct clips.
