Default New troubles... P0336

I'm getting a P0336 DTC on a regular basis... The car seems to break up under moderate to heavy acceleration... Opti is new, about a week old and at the same time I replaced the ignition switch.

Car idles fine and starts fine no problems, but under acceleration I can hear and feel it breaking up. It sets the code sometimes on start up or when I'm driving down the highway at speed(80 or so). Occasionally it will set the 1351 and 1361 codes when it begins to break up but not all the time. I figure its setting these because of a bad signal off the crank sensor.

I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this problem, I've ordered a new crank sensor should be here tomorrow. I've followed the FSM as best I could but there are certain things I could not do, such as set certain parameters in the PCM. The wiring tests fine in the harness and at the PCM.

Anyone have any insight into what else I can check? I just hope I didn't get a bad opti...

P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance
P1351 Ignition Coil Control Circuit High Voltage
P1361 Ignition Control (IC) Circuit Low Voltage

I would suggest pulling the Ignition module and having it bench tested at O'Reilly's, Autozone or whichever auto parts store can do it down there.

Sounds like the Ignition Cable from the Opti to the Passenger Side connector..

Update, a new sensor took care of the P0336 DTC but still occasionally sets P1361. The opti connector cable tests good... I think the summit-brand opti I got is just junk... Lesson learned.
