Default Caprice SS

There is a brand new 1996 Caprice SS on a showroom floor or a dealership in Kuwait that has never been titled with like 32KM on the OD. It is maroon with grey leather interior. Really cool to see it in new condition!

for all :
do you think that the Caprice SS more better than new impala in US ??

from design to performance... from zero to full ??

i think Lomina SS and Caprice SS reflect the real IMPALA 96..

ehh, I don't know, it just looks like an oversize Acura to me. No real defining lines. They look too plain to me.

Post some 91-96 caprice/impala ss pics of these cars rolling around S.A. (Saudi Arabia)

i really dislike the new impala's here in the us, their entirely to small and well fwd when the impala should have stayed rwd...

why'd they even change it to a smaller fwd car any how?

SuperShal,

I like the style of the Caprice you get there.

Are any of the later (post-1996) Caprice models built by Holden still with full frame design?

This is one of the main complaints I have heard about the FWD Impala sold here from taxi drivers and also read similar comments from police forces that the FWD Impala is nowhere near as durable to abuse as the original RWD Caprice with the full frame design. By discontinuing the Caprice in 1996, GM essentially gave away the fleet business to Ford with their Marquis and Town Car. GM also lost buyers desiring a car (and not a truck) capable of towing 5,000 LBS or more.
