Default How to remove the hood emblem

It has that grille with the Impala SS logo but how do I remove the old Caprice emblem on the hood?

And fill in the hole and paint it? Maybe I should take it to a body shop, what's a reasonable price?

if you dont have a big enough socket, you can use a pair of needle nose and as far as covering the hole I used a silver GM badge off the newer chevy trucks (It's the badge thats located on the front fenders).
