Default Power Steering Pump Pulley, Help!

I did some searching...but I don't want to mess up my pulley.

Currently doing a power steering pump change on the 9C1. I've got the lines off, pump out, etc...but I'm having trouble getting the pulley off.

How exactly is the pulley held on the pump shaft? It looks like the shaft is threaded (with an allen head) and the pulley screws on? I saw that some people used a puller...but I don't understand how that works if its threaded on.

I've got the thing soaking in PB blaster right now...will it work to put a big allen wrench in the shaft and tap on it with a hammer? If this is the way to go is it back threaded or regular?

So it's just press fit on? I didn't see a nut on the end of it? Any idea why the shaft is allen threaded?
