An excellent read for anyone who has an interest in the subject.

Cliff notes
: It is very real, and perhaps unstoppable.
: It is going to be a heavy burden on our kids, and grandchildren.
: The people on threads like this who deny it, are really a mouthpiece of a product (without ever realizing it, a goal of the organization) of the Global Climate Coalition, an organization created by Oil, Coal, Auto, and Utility companies. Their sole product was/is doubt, and to keep the argument going.

Maybe there is global warming and maybe there isn't. I don't really care if there is global warming. I didn't remember signing a death certificate do you? Perhaps I should crush my caprice, dedicate the rest of my life to planting trees and then because I can't get to work I can spend the rest of my days singing kumbaya with Al Gore and Obama side by side. I'd rather drown in over inflated oceans, die of heat stroke, and then be chopped up into little pieces and sent to all the starving little children in Ethiopia than follow the ' ' GREEN MOVEMENT ' '. I hope global warming kills us all because then I won't have to hear it and there will be no one to preach to. DONE!

I agree that the author doesn't sound like he either suppports or doesn't support what he's presented, he just sort of put the information out there. No offense to bbodyguy, I just needed to give an opinion/vent.

I'm certainly not offended, the book is non fiction, there are maybe 15 pages in the back with the bibliography/notes and source information for all the information he presented. The fact is that the industrial groups have spent millions instilling doubt and uncertainty on the masses to further the carbon denying agenda. LT Scholz, I would say read the book, then come up with conclusions on support for the argument. The top scientists at NASA, NCAR, and all over the world are all on the same page. The disinformation campaign was pretty successful in changing it from fact to theory.

2009 was the warmest year recorded, and the decade that contains that year was the hottest on record.

This has been a topic that has fascinated me for some time, and I recommend this book for anyone that has the same interests. Those who continue to disbelieve will not be changed. However, as time marches on, I can guess they will be fewer in number.

Any concessions will probably come after our lifetime, our heirs will inherit the problem. And any concessions made will for the most part, not come from choice.

Nice. I was wondering how long it would be before that was posted, it also has been here before.
While I love Burts work AS AN ENGINEER, he is not a climate scientist. He also is heavily invested in a carbon producing industry. (As I am, we all are to some degree)

Every time 2,054 + nuclear bombs were lit off, they gave off millions of degrees of heat which headed to the ice caps. But.. No one ever brings that up.. Heat has to go someplace.
