editing older post

how do i edit some older post? i want to edit them to take my number out...

You lose the ability to edit a post after 24 hours, or thereabouts. PM a mod and they can do it for you.

Not sure what it is but certainly more than 24 hours. I just edited a 7 day old post.

But titles cannot be edited at all.

24 hours is usually the norm. I know for a fact you couldn't edit a 7 day old post on my TBSS forum.

Well I just edited a 32 day old post to prove a point.

VBulletin is the biggest forum software out there, doesn't matter what forum it is.

Point I proved is, you can not edit older posts. 8-4-2010 is the post he is looking to edit. So to avoid the pissing match, that is why you can not edit your post. Contact a Mod.

Well, if it makes you feel better and think you proved something, I am happy for you.

I will agree, a post 11 months ago is old and cannot be edited.

I just wanted to indicate that you can certainly edit much later than the 24 hour period you mentioned, in my case 7 days and 32 days later.

I couldn't care less about a pissing match, but since you mention VB, time of edit is determined by the Admin of a forum. It can be set for literally any period, by group, without any limits at all, etc. So you proved nothing.
