Default Fuel pump wiring diagram * Please help *

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the fuel pump? I'm trying to figure out what the 3rd wire does. Is it a positive or a negative? Is it a signal wire to the PCM?

My OEM harness melted and I'm trying to re-wire things to get things running again. I have power to the pump, but the car won't start still. So I'm thinking the 3rd wire is a signal of some sort. Thanks.

Black is ground.
Purple is from the Sender to the gauge.
Gray is power from the (fuel Pump Relay in the UEC)

Can't attach the diagram because it's too big. IM me you email and I'll mail it to you.

Quick question. When changing the fuel pump do you have to drop the gas tank?

I found the diagram in my FSM's. Thanks. It looks like the Fuel Pump fuse power more than the fuel pump. It also powers the PCM and the Oil pressure switch. Talk about a stupid setup. Why name it a fuel pump circuit if it also powers the PCM.

It looks like I'll have to remove the main engine harness from the car and repair it.

The grey wire that powers the fuel pump goes through the inside pass through and into pos C2 of C204 (Engine to Body Harness), which should be behind or just above the PS kick panel. From there it goes into C400, which is in the trunk on the DS near the tail lamp. There is one other connection that is outside the trunk behind the license plate. You might want to check continuity between the different points to see where the break is before pulling the engine harness. It's most likely near the back of the car.

Also check the fuel pump ground, in the trunk, on the DS hinge...
