i have a stock 95 lt1 wagon
first i did the magnaflow cat back at ditched the resonators it wasn't too loud and sounded great! ![]() then the guy at the muffler shop talked me into getting an X pipe i did some research here and heard it was the best way to go so i did it now it is too quiet ![]() he said it is better, but i liked my tone. ![]() is there a way to get my sound back and keep the x pipe?

Get different mufflers. Magnaflow are always quiet.

x pipes are known to quiet the exhaust.
when I added the pypes the summit turbo's got too quiet and I switched to stainless magnaflows. mine have a nice burble and loud at wot so I wouldnt call them "quiet" mufflers.

Maybe the OP could opt for bigger exhaust tips.

I have those rectangular camaro tips dumping behind my wheels
Maybe ill get some flows instead but I just got my magnaflow like last week. I didn't like the sound of the flowmasters but I bet it will sound better with the x pipe

Stock manifolds, cats and a pypes X with dumped magnaflow were not very quiet.
Give it sometime to break in. It'll get a little louder.

I've got a pair of 2 1/2" electric cut-outs that you might be able to talk me into selling.
Open a pair of 2 1/2" holes in your exhaust prior to the X... might be loud enough... ?

Not on my car... I got resonators put on, and NOW it's quiet (until the skinny pedal gets mashed against the floor). It depends on the type/size of muffler too.
