Default Engine cuts out in WOT.

I built a new motor for my 96 SS. LT4 top end with a hot cam and some other odd and ends. I had PCMforless do the tune. The car runs and drives fine until you give it the hammer, then it will cut out after an short climb in WOT. It happens from a dead stop, highway, and around town, but it will not happen twice in a row. I either have to restart the car or drive for an extended period of time before it cuts out again. When the engine cuts out the "Low oil level" sensor light comes on. I replaced the sensor with no change. I cut the wires to the sensor and connected them to delete it. The light is still tripped when i go into WOT. So long story short the Oil Level Sensor doesn't seem to be the issue. Does anyone have an idea as to what might be the problem here?

Default Engine cuts out in WOT.

After verifying proper fuel pressure at WOT. Next,I would suspect the "tune". Swap in a known good PCM,and see.

I have had the high resolution opti circuit cause a cutout before but it usually sets a code. Do you have any issue restarting?

1996 b-body specific!

-put razor knife in hand
-cut electrical tape off of harness from ICM / coil back to the #1 injector
-inspect the path of Pink wire from coil / ICM to the junction / splice in harness
*pink wire shoulld stay pink and be plyable

*if it is crunchy, discolored or stiff you found a smoking gun!

I have found this issue on many 1996s that under perform and or cut out.
I have seen sections of this wire completely brown & black and very burnt!

Ok. I'll check the fuel pressure after acquiring the proper tools.

No issue restarting. No high res issue.

opti, cap, coil, plugs, wires, and vent harness are all new. no egr

"pink wire" issue will be looked into as well.

thx for the replies. I will keep the thread updated as I go.
