Hey all...great year, great people to run with, great times.
Just like last years "off season" thread (http://www.impalassforum.com/vBullet...d.php?t=266726) - it's time to discuss 2013. Thoughts? Concerns? Changes? Input? Comments? What did you like? Didn't like? Already we've announced that in 2013 ANY YEAR IMPALA/CAPRICE is eligible to run with us. Comments? Thoughts? Also, we will definitely try to have at LEAST 4-5 doubleheaders at Island Dragway (or elsewhere) next year. They seemed to be a huge hit for many reasons, some more obvious than others. I also think we should keep the finals at Island since they take care of us - basically the complete opposite of the treatment we get from E-Town. However I would like someone to schedule at least one race at E-Town for tradition and also to keep our foot in the door. You never know what's down the road, and we can't lose our connections with any tracks. Thoughts? Please be candid. Glen does an amazing job running ECIRS but we're big boys and can take some healthy criticism and comments.

What about making events like NSHS, SSHS and the ISSCA Nationals races points eligible?

NSHS counted this year
![]() I think we should try and split up the track locations a bit and get some more tracks in MD for the southern guys. I would love to race at Cecil and maybe if we knew someone with connections....cough cough Alex cough cough......they could help us out. Island definitely takes the best care of us and i love the double headers but it would be nice to go to some different tracks as well.

In the past we have had ISSCA Nats count some years as well, and I also believe that we have had (or at least considered) counting SSHS. Jason we always go to MD tracks but we don't always get the turnout. For me, it always seems to be during baseball season and I'm coaching, early in the season. |

I like the fact that all impalas are included.
It may break tradition but sounds like easy wins to me! Nab |

I was waiting until the new year to make sure this is a definite go this time then was going to start hyping it up on the other Impala board.

As far as I'm concerned, the rule change has been made. There is no debate about it. Next year, any year model Impala or Caprice can run in the series! Go and shout it everywhere!

I finally got a reply from LVD. I`m hoping to have the round sheets for the CT Tri-9 race
by this weekend. And, more importantly, the 43rd Annual CT Tri-9 Dragday WILL be held at LVD again next year in September... They have not started putting their schedule together yet, but I requested either the 7th (first Sat. in Sept) or the 14th. You will know as soon as I do... (well, maybe a few minutes or so after...) 8^)

Actually at Capitol Raceway we get our largest Impala Count when INC comes to the races. Last two years more than 40 cars showed up though only 18 raced.
75&80 and Mason Dixon love us too and Beaver Bob would like for us to come back too. When we have Mason-Dixon Mike Harris and Pat Gish usually show up.
