Question Should I, Shouldn't I....help me decide

Just turned 40, sold my '03 Jetta TDI (loved the mileage...hated the car) My budget is 6k to 7k max, I've had a 95 and a 96 Cappy wgn, also a 94 9C1 and really miss the B-body. Came across this about 3 hrs away from me (Kijiji ad #442555398, Barrie Ont.) Guy seems nice, said he'd take 6k cash. Some of the details...
1994 Impala SS (i hope, didn't see VIN yet)
Absolutely no rust
Kumho Ecsta's w/ 6k miles on them
Meticulously cared for w/ tranny and diff serviced 15k miles ago
About 150k miles on it
Very clean int
Completely stock except Magnaflow muffs.
Needs 1 can of 134 every spring for A/C
Needs window rollers on pass rear window
Burns about 1 liter of oil every 1500 miles
Never seen snow.
Re-painted 8yrs ago due to fussy previous owner
I wouldn't be opposed to another Cappy but they can't be had around here in decent shape and if they aren't too bad they want 5k+!!!
Looking for honest opinions and I know i'll get them here.

A quart every 1500 miles? 150,000 miles ain't nothing for an LT- motor so that sounds just plain weird ------ especially on what sounds like such a nice ride otherwise.

-The 'no snow' 'no rust' and new paint and great int = big pluses.
-The window thing and 134 thing = big nothings.
-The motor thing = BIG minus.

I'm in more just to see what you do.

Inquiring minds want to know:
-What has your age got to do with anything?
-How does a car in Canada never seen snow?
-For your budget would you be open to a much more current GM product with a pretty neat drivetrain in a strikingly nondescript body? Lotsa GTO - G8s out there.

This wold be excessive oil consumption indicating abnormal wear due to lack of maintenance or defective engines components such as piston rings, valve stem seals ,which is not normal for only 150000 miles.
If it is consumption and not a leak I personally would not buy.
A well maintained LT1 would not show any noticeable oil consumption in 1500 miles.

Mid life crisis i guess, lol. I am tired of driving something i don't enjoy. Supposedly this thing has been put away every winter. G8's around here are like 20k and GTO's not far off that. I prefer Impala SS styling but LS power would be nice!

Thr other side of the coin is rebuilding the motor and trans to get more power.

Sorry about the G8/GTO idea. I thought they would have washed off more depreciation by now.

Mr. -imp is on it though. You could make a winning deal out of this yet, even come out ahead if you end up "forced" to redo that motor.

GM states 1 quart of oil consumption per 1000 miles is normal use. When I worked at s Buick dealer in 94-96. My lawyers Roadmaster sucked oil. Se he quit putting it in. It blew up he changed the filter and added 5 quarts of oil and got a new LT1 at 20,xxx miles and still has the car with 235,xxx and this engine still uses no oil At 2500 intervals.
