Ok so car would run a little shoddy when cold then one day it started popping, backfiring and farting. Then wouldn't start. Listened for fuel pump to prime and nothing, so sensible decision, replaced fuel pump. Car still won't run. It will kick over and run for like 3 seconds. Won't prime, it's like no power to pump. Any suggestions

Heather. Open the hood, on the pass. side on top of the wheel well, there will be a red wire that doesn't connect to anything. Using another piece of wire, jump it to the Pos. side of the battery. You should hear the pump run. If not, then begin to troubleshoot the small things first. In the fuse box right where the wire is, swap out the fuel pump relay with another like it from inside the box. Under the lid will tell you what is what. Cheack any and all fuses that may relate to the fuel system. Don't forget the one inside your drivers door on the side of the dash.
With the relay swapped, touch off jumper again, if no pump is heard, 98% chance the pump is bad. If you do have to replace pump, BE SURE to do filter as well. It's located along the drivers side frame rail about a foot in front of the rear wheel. In my personal dealings, You better hope it's not a Racetronix pump in there. If so, throw it as far as you can. Spend the extra $$ and get an AC Delco, it has a lifetime warranty.

You certain you got all the wiring correct and that the existing wiring wasn't faulty, cause it usually is crispy by the time the pump goes out? Anyway, not that I don't think you're going to get great help here in the Misk section...cause I do think that you aren't, perhaps you should post this in the Maintenance section up higher on the board where you're more likely to get help.
...and no offense to the other gentleman, but his Racetronix opinion is just that and shouldn't be taken as gospel.
