Hey guys, so seeing as I've been home all day with the snow and pretty bored I figured I'd make this thread about my 96 SS from when we picked it up to now. There are a ton of pictures so I'll be uploading a few at a time.
January 2008... The new to me 96 Impala SS I was 15 at the time so my dad picked it up from NC and drove it home to NJ on one tank of gas lol The original owner had installed a set of 255/60/17's on the car.. ![]() ![]() The dirty old stock LT1 ![]() ![]() ![]() First thing we did was bring it to my friends shop and have it looked over, ![]() ![]() And remove home plate... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Next to my friend's Heads/Cam 96. Look how filthy my car was, ![]()

275/40/17's
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Unknown to me at the time, there was a spacer in the front springs causing it to sit higher, I guess it was to clear the 255/60's he had mounted. All new front end going in, plus Hotchkis sway bars. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Did what I can to wipe it down ![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() Stock bumpers back on so I can drive it, I had just turned 17 and gotten my license so was really eager to get back in it. ![]() ![]() ![]() At the POSSI impala club's mod day ![]() Had the tint redone correctly, 35% front 20% rear. I later changed to front to 20 as well. ![]() ![]() Oops ![]() Bumpers painted! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
