Default 36lb injectors

So as i posted in a previous thread, I recently purchased a bunch of parts off a buddy's ride.. I am in the process of putting it all together and am about ready to send my pcm off for a tune.. As of now i just learned i have 2 bad injectors on my motor however the intake manifold i just purchased has a set of 36lb injectors in it.. Is there any way i can just use these if i get the pcm tuned for them so i don't have to buy another set of factory size injectors... Some of the parts i am installing are a pair of bbk shorty headers ported and polished lt4 intake manifold ,52mm tb,adjustable fuel pressure regulator, msd ignition box 10.5mm plug wires, like new opti, and a raiss type cai without the heat shield...

Thanks in advanced, Chuckie

for the mods you list you don't "need" the 36 lb injectors. ask your tuner if it is OK to tune for them with your mods as it may be fine but he will need to know if you go with the 36

you can send your stock injectors out to get repaired for around $12-15 per

www.cruzinperformance.com is who I have used before

get a FP gauge so you can accurately set your adjustable FPR to the stock setting or just keep the stock one on. There is no performance upgrade for a adjustable unless your mods warrent it AND your tuner wants a higher than stock FP

I didn't see LT4 heads as one of your mods. You do know that the intake ports on a stock LT1 head, and the ports on an LT4 intake manifold don't line up exactly?

No performance gain either.

Should i not use the intake manifold since it dosnt line up right i knew there wouldnt be a performance gain however i opted to use it because its down right beautiful lol.. Not to mention i got it for next to nothing.

I suggest you either sell the LT4 intake or buy LT 4 heads to go with it. The later will give you little if any performance gain.

Not only does the LT4 manifold not line up with your LT1 heads....it is "ported" to line up with whatever the "ported" LT 4 heads it used to go with.

I sense you will have intake leak problems and may have to see if LT1 intake gaskets work better or LT4 intake gaskets. Sounds like a lot of work just to bolt on a red intake that if it does not leak may even reduce performance with LT1 heads.

Just my $02
