  1. Warning to all. Ebay front end overhaul kits from " The Tire Club. American Under carriage"

OK Guys, I bought 2 overhaul kits the day before I joined this list. I was going to rebuild the front ends on both my 1995 & 1996 B4U's. To make a long story short. I noticed the part numbers on the parts had been ground off and re-stamped. I worked many years in a truck parts warehouse for a...

Yes, I failed typing 101. Actually I dont remember going LOL. I will remember to look up the torque specs. Actually I saw them somewhere. The problem is where. Ha Ha... I am OCD when it comes to torque specs and I did dont know the car has to be on the ground. I have changed out springs...

I just returned the 2 kits I bought from American ?Under Car. The kits themselves looked ok. I returned the as The person selling them is misrepresenting the parts as Moog. I went to his website as well. I am sure the parts would have been just fine. It just pisses me off when someone lies to me.

Wonderful. Thanks Nick. After reading your reply I believe I will leave the control arms alone. I might have changed them If I were still in my 30's. My driving habits have changed slightly since I am getting older ;-) I still drive aggressively but more in a straight line. Ha Ha. I will also...

Hi Nick, Since you have been through this and I am going through your parts list. (Thanks again for that). Would you recommend replacing the control arms and steering knuckles? Do the arms actually wear? Can I inspect the knuckles and make the decision at that time? Will better control arms...

Thanks Nick. I would love to see your list. Especially the rear end parts list. That is coming next. I am trying to make up my mind if I want to get trailing arms that center the rear wheel in the fender well. My 95 B4U has 275/50/15's on the back. It works now & I would hate to mess it up...

Hi Mark! Thank you very much to updating my post. Like you I have always used MOOG in the past. Actually, I was shocked to see they are ( Were ? ) made over seas. Mexico stamped parts give be flash backs to NAFTA which nearly cost me a job in the 80's / 90's. Hey, Nice pic BTW. I like it...

After taking some real good advise, I have decided to shop around and see what parts can be found to overhaul my 96 & 95 B4U front ends. My first stop is MOOG. I have just read MOOG is only a parts supplier. Their parts come from China & Japan. A little more research told my Taiwanese parts are...

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate all of the help you have provided. I know to stay away from some parts suppliers. One thing I learned is larger suppliers sell parts that have to be covered by their warranty. thanks a lot for your time. That does not make them any better but they may at...

Thanks a million. I am with you 100%. Per my conversation with 96 Black, I have started a return on the items. I will put together my own personal MOOG kit if I have to. It's not a big deal. I too have time & BPM :-))
