I bought this car in 2009 and started a restoration on it. I got to the point of the car getting the bodywork done and a back surgery halted the process. It currently reminds me everyday of its status as I see it in my garage.
1996 Chevy Impala SS (Tuxedo Black)
ready and waiting for the car to be put back together
Sadly still not done.
I took the body off the frame and completely stripped the frame to the metal. There were a couple small welds to reinforce and she got a good coat of primer and top coat of ceramic black paint. The exterior was done professionally and the old bodywork from previous owners and shops was stripped and the dents and dings removed the right way. All holes for the emblems were filled in with the intention to ghost them on later.
Will eventually be done.
Completely replaced and basically stock.
Wheel and Tire
Stock at the moment but will be changed when the time comes to get her back on the road.
